High Fiber Foods

Amy Hendel - Wednesday, 05/18/11 08:38 am

Many "high fiber" foods or foods that advertise fiber may not be the health foods they portray.  In fact, many foods that add fiber in, typically add inulin and maltodextrin.  These foods do not offer the same fiber benefits like 100% whole grains, fruits and vegetables.  Even beans are a great source of fiber.  If you do want to supplement your diet with fiber, choose a psyllium containing product and add it to yogurt, cereals, smoothies, even healthy turkey burgers.
